icassos Cupboard

Picasso's cupboard, a silent auction and exhibition, is a month long event starting Tuesday, November 20th at Gallery Vertigo. This event raises funds in support of exhibitions and programming at Gallery Vertigo. The gallery is currently filled with all kinds of unique treasures, both precious and funky, for this fun event. This will mark the North Okanagan Artists Alternative’s second annual Picasso’s Cupboard. It is an event the gallery hopes to repeat every year. Once again quirky, beautiful and useful objects have transformed Gallery Vertigo into a grandmother’s attic laden with treasures. The exhibition and silent auction has something for everyone and it happens just in time for holiday gift-giving. Even Pablo would approve!
Some of the items which have been donated this year include silver and silver plate dishes, brass fireplace tools, art deco glass, African carved animals, a microscope, a complete porcelain coffee service from Germany, Persian prints, a Hummel figure, Dutch petit point hanging, a musical clock, original art works, wedgewood trinket box, handknits, a silk kimono, antique kid gloves, vintage hats, handwoven Greek tablecloth, framed watercolours and etching, Mexican mosaic mirror, hand thrown pots, silver flat ware, and numerous pieces of jewellery including a filgree brooch, 40's rhinestone set, silver ring and earrings.

Check out our one toonie and two toonie tables as well. You'll find many useful, beautiful and affordable items. Treat yourself or find a gift for that hard to suit person on your gift list. Cash and carry.
